Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) failed to win a majority of votes in the House on his third attempt to become speaker. The Republican conference then decided Jordan will not be their nominee for the role going forward, bringing the chamber back to a now familiar impasse. How will Congress move forward, and will it do so in time to act on President Biden’s Oval Office request for more military funding for wars in Israel and Ukraine?
